Michael Rubin

A harmonica player might be an unlikely member of a reggae band, but Rubin's improvisational prowess, ability to function outside of typical blues and country licks, and propensity for playing textures and impressions naturally led him to Mr. Brown. Michael is an "A list" Austin musician and regularly appears with Ruthie Foster. Rubin recently returned to Austin from NYC after a year playing the Broadway show "The Civil War."  Rubin has been the cover story of American Harmonica. In 2006 he released his first CD, "The Call of my Harp."
